First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has urged young Nigerians to remain focused on achieving greater success, warning against complacency with modest accomplishments.

She gave the charge on Friday while receiving the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Youth Wing at the State House, Abuja, where she also donated nine brand-new buses to support the group’s activities across the country.

Addressing the youth leaders, the First Lady emphasised the virtues of patience, diligence, integrity and contentment, noting that many young people often become impatient in their pursuit of success.

“God always knows our needs, and that is what many young people do not understand. They are always in a hurry,” she said.

“I am teaching you to learn contentment and not be beggarly.”

Drawing inspiration from the eagle, Senator Tinubu encouraged the youth to develop resilience and determination in the face of challenges.

“You have to have the eagle’s mentality. When the eagle sees a storm, it laughs at it and flies above it. That is what you should all do. Find your own path instead of wanting what others have,” she added.

The First Lady commended the APC Youth Wing for working together in unity to strengthen the party’s structures, particularly at the grassroots level, and urged members to continue projecting the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration with dignity and responsibility.

She said that as key ambassadors of the ruling party and the Renewed Hope Agenda, the youth must demonstrate unwavering commitment to building a better future for Nigerians.

“As one of the critical organs of the party, you have the responsibility of carrying the banner of the Renewed Hope Agenda. You must show resilience and a deep commitment to a tomorrow built on hope,” she said.

To enhance the operational capacity of the youth wing, Senator Tinubu presented nine buses to the APC National Youth Leader, Deputy National Youth Leader and zonal youth leaders, including the Federal Capital Territory representative, to facilitate grassroots mobilisation, party activities and community engagement.

Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, APC National Youth Leader, Hon. Dayo Israel, expressed appreciation to the First Lady for what he described as a significant investment in the party’s youth structure.

He pledged the continued support of the APC Youth Wing for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and promised to intensify mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections.

“We are committed to the Renewed Hope Agenda. What you have done today has strengthened our capacity not only for electoral mobilisation but also to improve the lives of Nigerians,” Israel said.

He disclosed that the youth wing would establish campaign structures in all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory to deepen support for the party.

“Many of us came here without vehicles, but we are leaving with brand-new buses. You have raised boys to men, and we are sincerely grateful,” he added.

The buses were formally handed over to the APC National Youth Leader, Hon. Dayo Israel; Deputy National Youth Leader, Jamaludeen Kabir; as well as the party’s zonal youth leaders and the FCT representative.
