BREAKING: KADUNA CHURCH CONFIRMS RELEASE OF 151 ABDUCTED MEMBERS

The Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, Ayo Ni o, has announced the safe release of 151 of its members who were abducted from Iburu in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State on January 18, 2026.
The announcement was made on Monday, February 2, by His Most Eminence, Prophet (Dr.) Emmanuel Abiodun Adewale Alogbo (JP), who expressed profound gratitude to Almighty God for the intervention that led to the return of the abducted worshippers.
Confirmation of the release came through reports submitted by the church’s Kaduna liaison officers, Senior Special Apostle I. A. Adeyemi and Senior Special Apostle Pastor Solomon Katanga.
Prophet Alogbo described the development as a testament to the power of faith, prayer, and strategic engagement.
“This is a victory for dialogue and prayer,” he said, noting that the safe return followed his emergency visit to Kaduna and high-level deliberations with relevant stakeholders.
He added that the outcome demonstrates how sustained faith combined with human efforts can bring citizens back from captivity.
The church extended special commendation to the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, for his pivotal role in the release.
Appreciation was also conveyed to the Governor’s Chief of Staff, Mr. Sani Liman Kila, and the Senior Special Assistant on Religious Affairs (Christian Matters), Rev. Ishaya Jangado, for their collaboration, responsiveness, and effective coordination of state resources.
Prophet Alogbo emphasized that the successful outcome underscores the importance of partnership between religious leadership and government, particularly in addressing security challenges and ensuring the safety of citizens.
The church also acknowledged prayers and support from the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), the Organization of African Instituted Churches (OAIC) under His Most Eminence, Prophet Akin Adewo, FCA, as well as the international Christian community, all of whom were said to have stood in solidarity during the ordeal.
While celebrating the release, the church cautioned that the trauma endured by the abducted members cannot be overlooked.
Accordingly, welfare and medical teams have been mobilized to provide immediate psychosocial support and medical care to the freed members and their families.
Prophet Alogbo called on all Nigerians to pray for lasting peace in Kaduna State and across the country.
“Let this be a turning point for our nation where light triumphs over darkness and the safety of every Nigerian, regardless of their place of worship, becomes an unshakable reality,” he said, quoting Psalm 126:3: “The Lord has done great things for us, and we are glad.”
