NAPTIP Takes Action Over Alleged Student Abuse in Benue
The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has confirmed that it is taking action following reports of alleged abuse involving a female student in Benue State.

In a statement posted on its official platform, the agency described the incident as “a sad development,” revealing that the case has been forwarded to its Benue State Command for immediate attention.
According to NAPTIP, the state command has been directed to collaborate with relevant authorities to ensure a swift and appropriate response to the situation.
The development follows viral reports alleging that some female students of a secondary school identified as Seat of Wisdom, Aliade, assaulted and humiliated a fellow female student.
While details surrounding the incident remain under investigation, the case has sparked widespread concern on social media, with many Nigerians calling for justice and stricter measures against bullying and abuse in schools.
NAPTIP assured the public of its commitment to protecting victims and ensuring that those found culpable are held accountable in accordance with the law.
