Baze University Appoints Adeniyi as Vice-Chancellor, Lawi as Registrar

Baze University has announced the appointment of Professor Abiodun Adeniyi as its new Vice-Chancellor and Ahmad Mahmoud Lawi as Registrar, with both appointments taking effect from May 6, 2026.

The appointments were approved by the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Datti Baba-Ahmed, following what the institution described as a competitive selection process.

Professor Adeniyi, who previously served as Registrar of the university, now assumes the role of Vice-Chancellor, while Lawi, until his appointment, was Director of Human Resources.

In a statement, the university’s Board expressed confidence in the leadership capacity of the new appointees, urging staff and stakeholders to support them in advancing the institution’s academic and administrative objectives.
