Baze University Names Professor Abiodun Adeniyi as New Vice-Chancellor

Baze University has announced the appointment of Professor Abiodun Adeniyi as its new Vice-Chancellor and Ahmad Mahmoud Lawi as Registrar, following a competitive selection process approved by the University’s Board of Trustees.

Professor Adeniyi, a renowned scholar in Communication and Media Epistemology, previously served as the University’s Registrar. He now steps into the Vice-Chancellor role, bringing over a decade of experience and a proven track record of dedication and leadership within the institution.

Ahmad Mahmoud Lawi, formerly Director of Human Resources, assumes the position of Registrar, continuing his long-standing service to the University.

Senator Datti Baba-Ahmed, PhD, FSAN, Founder and Chairman of Baze University’s Board of Trustees, expressed confidence in the new leadership team. He highlighted their ability to strengthen the University’s academic standing, enhance administrative efficiency, and advance its mission for growth and excellence.

The University community has been urged to extend full support to Professor Adeniyi and Alhaji Lawi as they take on their new roles.

These appointments reaffirm Baze University’s commitment to merit-based leadership, continuity, and institutional development.
