Pete Edochie Opens Up On Health Struggles, Reveals Prayer About His Final Days

Veteran Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie, has opened up about his current health challenges, revealing that he is struggling to walk and has experienced repeated swelling in parts of his body.

Edochie spoke about his condition during a visit to fellow actor Emmanuel Armah in Accra, Ghana, on Thursday.

The veteran actor, who travelled to Ghana for the launch of the Pete Edochie Legacy Project, visited Armah at his residence, where he prayed with the ailing Ghanaian actor and offered him financial support.

Speaking about his own health, Edochie said his condition had affected his mobility but expressed hope that he would recover.

“I am not very well myself. Walking is a problem for me now, but I still have hope that I will recover,” he said.

According to him, he sometimes wakes up to discover that parts of his body have become swollen, with the swelling later subsiding.

“Sometimes I wake up and parts of my body have swollen up. After some time, they go down again. My hand is swollen,” he said.

Edochie also spoke about his wishes concerning the end of his life, saying he regularly asks God to determine when his time will come and not allow him to become a burden to those around him.

“I just keep asking God, you are the author of life. Whenever you feel it is time for me to go, just take me. Don’t let me bother the people who are around me,” he said.

Despite his own health concerns, Edochie offered words of encouragement to Armah, expressing his belief that the Ghanaian actor would recover.

“Emma, I believe that you will recover someday, by the grace of God,” he said.

The revelation has prompted concern among fans of the veteran actor, with many expressing sympathy and offering prayers for his recovery.

Edochie’s visit to Armah came as the Ghanaian actor continues to stay away from active screen work amid prolonged health challenges.
