His death was announced by Eniola Daniel, a senior multimedia reporter with The Guardian, who described the deceased as a prolific entertainment writer and a mentor whose impact would be deeply missed.

Nwanne, a native of Ogbunike in Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State, joined The Guardian in 2008 as an entertainment reporter.

He also participated in several professional training programmes and conferences in Nigeria and abroad.

Beyond journalism, Nwanne was passionate about promoting his cultural heritage and tourism. He founded and served as Creative Director of the Ogbunike Cave Carnival, an annual three-day cultural festival established to promote the Ogbunike Cave, one of Nigeria’s notable tourist attractions.

His death has been described as a loss to the journalism profession, the entertainment industry and the Ogbunike community.
