Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has congratulated the Asagba of Asaba, His Royal Majesty Asagba Prof. Epiphany Chigbogu Azinge, SAN, OON, on the second anniversary of his coronation.
In a congratulatory message issued on Monday by his Chief Press Secretary, Festus Ahon, the governor described the anniversary as an opportunity to celebrate the monarch’s contributions to peace, unity and development in Asaba Kingdom.
Oborevwori joined the people of Asaba, the Asagba-in-Council, traditional rulers, government officials, corporate organisations, friends and well-wishers in celebrating the monarch, who ascended the throne two years ago.
The governor said Azinge’s experience as a professor of law, jurist and administrator had brought valuable knowledge and experience to the leadership of the kingdom.
According to him, the monarch’s reign has continued to inspire hope, progress and a renewed sense of pride among the people of Asaba.
Oborevwori prayed for continued wisdom, good health and strength for the Asagba, saying these would enable him to sustain his service to the kingdom and contribute to the peace and development of Delta State.
The governor also wished the monarch many more years on the throne and continued success in his traditional leadership.
