Cross-Border Attacks Intensify as Russia, Ukraine Exchange Strikes
Russian and Ukrainian forces exchanged strikes on Sunday as the war continued to escalate across multiple fronts, with fresh attacks reported in southern and eastern Ukraine as well as inside Russian border regions.

Authorities in Ukraine confirmed that Russian forces carried out renewed aerial and missile strikes targeting the southern port city of Odesa and the industrial hub of Dnipro. Local officials reported explosions and damage to infrastructure, while air defense systems were activated in response to incoming threats.
At the same time, regional authorities in Belgorod region said they came under attack, with Ukrainian forces reportedly conducting cross-border strikes in the area. Damage assessments and casualty figures have not been fully confirmed.

The exchange marks another intense phase in the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, which has seen repeated long-range strikes, drone attacks, and border skirmishes in recent months.
Emergency services in affected Ukrainian cities were deployed to assess damage, extinguish fires, and assist residents, while military officials in both countries continued to monitor the evolving situation.

The conflict, which began with Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, continues to cause widespread destruction and civilian disruption across both frontline and border regions.
