Ekiti Decides: APC Outpaces ADC and PDP Across State
Results from the Ekiti State governorship election indicate a commanding performance by the All Progressives Congress (APC), which secured victories across all 16 local government areas announced.
According to the results released from the various local government areas, the APC maintained a significant lead over its closest rivals, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

The results show the APC establishing substantial margins in major voting centers, including Ado-Ekiti, Irepodun/Ifelodun, Ekiti West, Ikole, and Ijero local government areas. The PDP’s strongest showing came in Ikere LGA, where it polled 9,892 votes, while the ADC recorded its highest tally in Ijero LGA with 2,026 votes.
Political observers say the outcome reflects widespread support for the APC across both urban and rural parts of the state. The figures also highlight the party’s dominance in key population centers that traditionally play a decisive role in determining statewide election outcomes.
Electoral stakeholders have called on supporters of all political parties to remain peaceful and await any further announcements from the relevant authorities regarding the final certification of the election results.
