Ijaw Youth Council Awards Scholarships to Top Ten Best Students in JAMB
The Ijaw Youth Council, Gbaramatu Clan, has officially fulfilled its pledge to award scholarships to the top ten outstanding students who participated in the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board examinations for the 2025/2026 academic session. The announcement marks the successful completion of the scholarship reward distribution under the second phase of the Supplementary Educational Support Scheme.
The youth body, operating in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, confirmed that all qualified beneficiaries who sat for the 2025 JAMB examination have now received their designated scholarship rewards . This includes the exceptional top ten performers from the recent examination cycle.
Comrade Zikurebai Wazo Oyinkuro serves as the Chairman of the Ijaw Youth Council, Gbaramatu Clan, overseeing the educational empowerment initiative . The council emphasised that the scholarship program reflects its ongoing dedication to building a brighter future through education and investing in the next generation of Ijaw leaders.

In an official public notice, the council’s Information Officer, Comrade Ebitimi E. Ari, confirmed the successful distribution. “In line with our commitment to educational empowerment, all qualified beneficiaries who participated in the 2025 JAMB examination have now received their designated scholarship rewards. This includes the outstanding Top 10 students of the 2025/2026 JAMB academic session,” the notice stated.
The scholarship awards were distributed under the council’s Supplementary Educational Support Scheme, a program designed to provide financial assistance to deserving students from the region . The initiative represents a concerted effort to recognise academic excellence and reduce barriers to higher education for Ijaw youth.
