PRESIDENT TINUBU HOLDS EMERGENCY SECURITY MEETING AT ASO ROCK

President Bola Tinubu is currently chairing a high-level security meeting at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja. The meeting, which commenced around 3:00 pm on Tuesday, has in attendance the service chiefs, including the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa; Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede; Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla; and Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Hassan Abubakar. Also present are the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun; National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; Director-General of the State Security Service, Adeola Ajayi; and Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency, Mohammed Mohammed. Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele are also attending the meeting. Additionally, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, and the Deputy Speaker, Benjamin Kalu, were spotted arriving at the villa, although it is unclear if they are part of the security meeting. The reason for the emergency meeting is unclear, but it comes hours after an explosion rocked a section of the Trans Niger Pipeline in Bodo Community, Gokana Local Government Area of Rivers State. The explosion occurred late Monday night near the Bodo-Bonny Road, which is still under construction.
