President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has confirmed the rescue of all 38 worshippers abducted in Eruku, Kwara State, and the recovery of 51 out of the missing students from a Catholic School in Niger State.

In a statement, Tinubu attributed these successes to the efforts of Nigerian security forces over the last few days. The President revealed that he cancelled his trip to the G20 summit in South Africa to coordinate security efforts at home.

He stated, “I am closely monitoring the security situation nationwide and receiving continuous updates from the frontline.” Tinubu emphasized his unwavering commitment to safety, declaring, “Let me be clear: I will not relent. Every Nigerian, in every state, has the right to safety — and under my watch, we will secure this nation and protect our people.”

The President assured that he remains focused on ensuring the security of all citizens amid ongoing challenges.
