SEYI TINUBU BREAKS SILENCE ON VERYDARKMAN AND KING MITCHY FEUD, DENIES ALL ALLEGATIONS
Seyi Tinubu has finally addressed the heated online controversy involving activist VeryDarkMan and influencer King Mitchy. In a firm and direct statement, he denied all claims linking him to the dispute. According to him, the allegations are false, misleading, and deliberately created to damage his image.
Initially, the dispute began when King Mitchy announced that she renovated a public school in Delta State within six days. She presented the project as proof that young Nigerians can drive change quickly. However, VeryDarkMan reacted strongly. He accused her of promoting a political agenda and indirectly supporting the current administration. As a result, the situation escalated quickly. VeryDarkMan dragged Seyi Tinubu into the argument and claimed that Mitchy’s project had political backing. He also alleged threats to his life.

In response, Seyi Tinubu rejected all the allegations. He explained that he has no private relationship or hidden dealings with King Mitchy. Seyi Tinubu stated, “Let me be clear: the allegations and insinuations made about me are false.” Furthermore, he clarified that he only met Mitchy publicly and supported her NGO just like he supports many youth initiatives across Nigeria. He added, “There has never been a private encounter, no secret arrangement, and no impropriety of any kind.” In addition, he criticised the attempt to link his name to a feud he did not start. Seyi Tinubu said, “A feud I did not start has been used to insert my name into a narrative without basis in truth.” Most importantly, he insisted that he will not be intimidated by online pressure. He declared, “I will not be bullied, and I will not dignify fiction with panic.”
Meanwhile, the conflict took a worrying turn. Reports indicate that King Mitchy attempted self-harm during a livestream after facing intense online harassment. Consequently, many Nigerians expressed concern and called for calm. Several voices urged social media users to stop bullying and reduce online hostility. Seyi Tinubu also condemned toxic online behaviour. He stressed that digital harassment can have serious emotional consequences.
In conclusion, Seyi Tinubu urged Nigerians to promote unity, truth, and responsible public discussion. He emphasised that philanthropy should not be politicised. He said, “Nigeria needs builders, not bullies. We need responsible discourse, not sensationalism driven by speculation.” Overall, this controversy shows how quickly misinformation spreads online. It also highlights the growing influence of social media conflicts in Nigeria’s public space. Going forward, many Nigerians expect calmer engagement, verified facts, and responsible communication from all parties involved.
