The Delta State Commissioner for Information, Dr. Charles Aniagwu, has commended the administration of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for its sustained commitment to rural development following the completion of Phase II of the Emevor–Orogun Road project.

Aniagwu described the project as a clear demonstration of the governor’s MORE Agenda, which prioritizes infrastructure development, improved connectivity, and economic inclusion across rural communities in the state.

According to him, the completion of the second phase of the road will significantly enhance transportation between Emevor and Orogun communities, reduce travel time, and open up new opportunities for commerce, agriculture, and social development.

He noted that many rural dwellers had long faced challenges due to poor road conditions, adding that the intervention by the state government would bring lasting relief and stimulate local economic activities.

The commissioner further emphasized that the Oborevwori-led administration remains focused on delivering impactful projects across all senatorial districts, with special attention to rural communities that had previously been underserved.

Residents and community leaders in the affected areas have also expressed appreciation for the project, describing it as a major step toward improving livelihoods and boosting access to markets, healthcare, and education.

The state government reiterated its commitment to completing ongoing infrastructure projects across Delta State, assuring that more road networks are being prioritized under the current development plan.

Officials say the Emevor–Orogun Road Phase II forms part of a broader infrastructure expansion strategy aimed at strengthening connectivity between communities and supporting long-term economic growth in the state.
