Kano APC Stakeholders Back Tinubu, Endorse Yusuf Ahead of 2027 Polls

Federal political appointees and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Kano State have passed a vote of confidence on President Bola Tinubu and pledged to deliver the state for the ruling party in the 2027 general elections.

The resolution was reached during an inaugural meeting of the Tinubu Renewed Hope Appointees Forum, Kano State Chapter, held at the Government House Lodge, Asokoro, Abuja, where Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf hosted the gathering.

According to a statement issued on Monday by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the meeting brought together APC stakeholders to discuss the party’s strategy and prospects in Kano ahead of the 2027 elections.

The forum commended President Tinubu for what members described as his commitment to the development of Kano State and Nigeria, unanimously passing a vote of confidence in his leadership.

The stakeholders also pledged to mobilise support for President Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima to ensure the APC secures victory in Kano during the 2027 presidential election.

The meeting further congratulated Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and his deputy, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, on emerging as the APC’s governorship candidates for Kano State.

Participants reaffirmed their commitment to implementing President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda while expressing support for Governor Yusuf’s Kano First Agenda.

They also resolved to work together to secure APC victories in the presidential, governorship, National Assembly and State Assembly elections in Kano.

The meeting was attended by former Kano State Governor and immediate past APC National Chairman, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje; APC Kano State Chairman, Umar Haruna Doguwa; ministers, presidential aides, heads of federal agencies, board chairmen and other federal political appointees from Kano State.

The communiqué was signed by Senator Basheer Lado, Special Adviser to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate) and Convener of the Tinubu Renewed Hope Appointees Forum, Kano State Chapter.
