Nigerian-British Influencer Who Died After Penis Enlargement Procedure Was Previously Wanted by NDLEA

Fresh details have emerged about the death of Nigerian-British businessman and social media influencer Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo, with reports revealing that he had previously been declared wanted by Nigeria’s National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) over alleged involvement in an international drug-trafficking network.

Ubiribo, 43, died in Bangkok, Thailand, on March 6, 2026, after undergoing a penile filler procedure during a holiday with his wife, Danielle Simba Allen. A UK coroner has now ruled that the cosmetic procedure caused a fatal pulmonary embolism, a blockage of a blood vessel in the lungs.

According to reports of the inquest, about 40 millilitres of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine were injected during the procedure at an unnamed Bangkok clinic. Ubiribo later complained of chest pain and lost consciousness while receiving a massage.

He was taken by ambulance to Sukhumvit Hospital, where doctors diagnosed a pulmonary embolism. Medical staff reportedly performed CPR for more than 100 minutes but were unable to revive him.

A subsequent post-mortem examination in Britain found material in his lungs that matched the hyaluronic acid used in the injections. Assistant coroner Jean Harkin concluded that his death resulted from the cosmetic procedure.

The latest revelations have also brought renewed attention to an unresolved investigation involving Ubiribo and his wife.

The NDLEA declared the couple wanted in 2023, alleging that they were involved in an international drug-trafficking syndicate. According to reports citing the agency, the investigation followed the seizure of 32.70 kilogrammes of cannabis known as “Loud” concealed in cartons of used clothing at a Lagos airport.

The agency allegedly described Ubiribo and Allen as key figures in a syndicate operating from Los Angeles and accused them of recruiting young people into the illicit drug trade.

However, the allegations were never resolved in court before Ubiribo’s death, and being declared wanted did not amount to a conviction. Reports say he and his wife remained outside Nigeria after the NDLEA’s declaration.

Ubiribo was known in Nigerian social circles by the nicknames “Tiny,” “Ego” and “Denisi” and was associated with prominent entertainment personalities, including Afrobeats star Davido. His funeral in London was attended by several well-known figures from his social circle.

The disclosure of Ubiribo’s previous status as an NDLEA wanted suspect has added another dimension to a death that had already attracted attention because of its unusual circumstances.

The inquest, however, found no indication that his death was connected to the Nigerian drug-trafficking investigation. The official finding was that he died from a pulmonary embolism associated with the cosmetic procedure in Thailand.

His death has also prompted renewed discussion about the risks associated with cosmetic genital filler procedures and the potential dangers of undergoing such treatments abroad.
