The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State has resolved to take legal action against Senator Ned Nwoko for defecting to the All Progressives Congress (APC). This decision was reached by elected and appointed political office holders from the Delta North senatorial district, which Nwoko represents in the senate.

The resolution was the outcome of a meeting convened and presided over by Deputy Governor Sir Monday Onyeme. Onyeme emphasized the importance of maintaining the PDP’s dominance in the Delta North senatorial district. “Delta North should remain a PDP-dominant senatorial district. We must consolidate our position as the main determinant for all elections in Delta State,” he said.

Onyeme also advised local government council chairmen to connect with the grassroots by implementing projects that complement Governor Oborevwori’s More Agenda, which aims to add value to the lives of the people. The PDP’s decision to sue Nwoko is a clear indication of the party’s determination to protect its interests and maintain its stronghold in the region.
