A TALE OF BROKEN TRUST AND UNPAID DEBT

Hon Tasiu Musa Shinkafi, the Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Zamfara State has been accused of defaulting on a loan of N350,000 borrowed from his friend High Chief Christian Uwaedoga Ugwu.

Despite efforts to recover the loan, including hiring Barr.Chris Ezugwu, the debt remains unpaid.

As a government official, Shinkafi ‘s actions have raised concerns about accountability and integrity in public office. It is essential for public officials to maintain high standards of transparency and accountability, especially when it comes to personal financial dealings.

Shinkafi’s role as Commissioner for Youth and Sports involves overseeing initiatives like the Zamfara State Government’s ICT-Youth Employment Program (ICT- YEP), aimed at empowering youths with digital skills.

Another sad dimension to this sad story of betrayal of trust is the despicable role played by the mail room of the government house Gusau who blocked a letter from High Chief Christian Uwaedoga from getting to the Governor of the state.
