Cristiano Ronaldo Marries Longtime Partner Georgina Rodríguez in Portugal
Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has married his longtime partner, Georgina Rodríguez, after nearly a decade together.
The couple exchanged vows in a private civil ceremony in Cascais, Portugal, on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, according to Ronaldo’s management team and multiple reports.
The intimate ceremony was attended by their five children. Ronaldo and Rodríguez later confirmed the milestone publicly by sharing a photograph showing their wedding rings on social media.
Ronaldo and Rodríguez began their relationship in 2016 after meeting in Madrid, where Rodríguez was working as a sales assistant at a Gucci store.
The relationship became public in 2017, and the couple went on to build a family together. They have two daughters, Alana Martina and Bella Esmeralda, while Rodríguez has also helped raise Ronaldo’s other children, Cristiano Jr. and twins Eva Maria and Mateo.
The couple announced their engagement on August 11, 2025, exactly one year before their wedding. Rodríguez revealed the engagement at the time with a photograph of her diamond ring.
Unlike the highly public nature of Ronaldo’s football career, the wedding was kept largely away from the spotlight.
The ceremony took place in Cascais, a coastal resort town west of Lisbon, and was described by the couple’s representatives as a private and intimate occasion.
The marriage comes as Ronaldo prepares for another season with Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr. The 41-year-old Portuguese forward remains one of the most decorated footballers in history, having won five Ballon d’Or awards and major trophies with Sporting CP, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus and Al Nassr.
For Rodríguez, 32, the wedding marks the latest chapter in a relationship that has developed from a meeting in a Madrid luxury store into one of the world’s most closely followed celebrity families.
After years of dating and a year after their engagement, Ronaldo and Rodríguez are now officially husband and wife.
