El-Rufai Supporters Raise ₦45.7m in Four Hours for 2027 ADC Nomination Form

A political support group backing former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has announced that it raised ₦45.75 million within four hours to purchase his expression of interest and presidential nomination forms under the African Democratic Congress (ADC) ahead of the 2027 general election.

In a statement released on Friday, the group described the fundraising effort as a strong demonstration of loyalty and growing nationwide support for El-Rufai’s political movement.

According to the organisers, the amount was contributed by supporters across different parts of the country shortly after the fundraising campaign was launched.

“This is a voice from thousands of supporters saying with one heart: Mallam, we are with you,” the group stated.

The supporters added that the development was not merely about raising money for nomination forms, but a reflection of the increasing acceptance of El-Rufai’s political ideology and leadership style among Nigerians.

They further expressed appreciation to donors and volunteers who participated in the exercise, saying the rapid fundraising showed a growing momentum ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

“The Movement is Rising,” the statement added, insisting that the support being recorded across the country indicates that “history continues to be shaped by the people.”

Although Nasir El-Rufai has not officially declared his intention to contest the presidency in 2027, political observers say recent activities by his supporters suggest increasing preparations toward a possible presidential bid under the ADC platform.
