Makinde Appoints Former NUJ FCT Chairman Amos Dunia Special Adviser On Public Affairs
The Presidential Candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement and Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has appointed veteran journalist and former Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, FCT Council, Amos Dunia, as his Special Adviser on Public Affairs.
The appointment, announced in a statement issued on Friday by the Makinde/Daura Presidential Campaign Organisation, and signed by the Director of Strategic Communications, Richard Ihediwa takes immediate effect.
Dunia brings extensive experience in both broadcast and print journalism to the campaign. He has worked with the Nigerian Television Authority, New Nigerian Newspapers, The Sun Newspapers and Blueprint Newspapers. He is also a co-founder of Forefront Magazine and its online platform.
The new Special Adviser previously served as Chairman of the NUJ FCT Council and later as National Consultant of the union on politics and union matters. He has also worked as a public commentator, communication expert and publisher.

Amos Dunia
According to the campaign organisation, Dunia will join other professionals in promoting the Makinde/Daura campaign’s “Reset Nigeria” message ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The campaign said his experience, professional network and communication skills would contribute to its public affairs and communication efforts as it seeks to mobilise support for the APM.
The organisation also called on party leaders, members and supporters, as well as Nigerians, to remain committed to its stated objective of using the 2027 presidential election to pursue stability, national cohesion and economic prosperity.
