NCPC Boss Adegbite Urges Muslims to Promote Peace, Pray for Nigeria at Eid-ul-Mawlid

The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Bishop Prof. Stephen Adegbite, has felicitated Muslims in Nigeria and across the diaspora on the occasion of Eid-ul-Mawlid, which commemorates the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.

In a statement issued in Abuja on Monday, August 24, 2026, and signed by the Director of Media and Public Relations of the NCPC, Celestine Toruka, Bishop Adegbite urged Muslim faithful to use the celebration to reflect on the teachings and exemplary life of Prophet Muhammad.

The NCPC boss called on Muslims to emulate the virtues of the Prophet and shun actions that are contrary to his teachings.

He said Eid-ul-Mawlid should provide an opportunity for deep spiritual reflection and self-examination, urging the faithful to devote time to learning more about what the Prophet stood for.

Bishop Adegbite described Prophet Muhammad as a shining light and a model for humanity, stressing the importance of applying his teachings in everyday life.

The NCPC Executive Secretary also urged Muslims to continue praying for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other leaders as Nigeria prepares for the 2027 general elections.

He expressed optimism that the elections would be peaceful and that the will of God would prevail.

Bishop Adegbite further called on Muslim clerics to continue providing sound spiritual guidance to their followers and promote peaceful coexistence.

He urged Muslim faithful to uphold the values of peace, love, harmony, dialogue and patriotism, stressing the importance of these values to national unity and development.

He wished Muslims a peaceful and spiritually rewarding Eid-ul-Mawlid celebration.
