Former presidential candidate and Labour Party leader, Peter Obi, has sent a passionate message of support to the Super Falcons ahead of their final match at the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco. In a statement shared on his official Facebook page, Obi commended the team for their exceptional performance throughout the tournament, describing them as “the pride of Africa and the heartbeat of Nigeria.”

The former Anambra State governor expressed his confidence in the team’s ability to represent the nation on the international stage.
