Police Launch Rescue Operation as Gunmen Abduct Kebbi High Court Judge

The Kebbi State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of a High Court judge, Justice Faruk Bunza, by suspected terrorists.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Superintendent of Police Bashir Usman, said the judge was kidnapped from his residence in Bunza, Kebbi State.

According to the police spokesperson, the Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Muhammad Hadejia, has ordered an immediate response following the incident.

He said personnel from the Command’s Tactical and Intelligence units have been deployed to track the abductors and ensure the safe rescue of Justice Bunza.

 

 

The police assured residents that efforts are underway to secure the judge’s release and apprehend those responsible for the abduction.

No further details on the circumstances surrounding the incident or possible motives for the kidnapping were disclosed as of the time of filing this report.
