Police Recruitment Exercise for Delta Applicants Without Appointment Kicks Off March 16
The Delta State Government has announced that a special screening exercise for candidates who applied for recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force but do not have scheduled appointments will begin on March 16 in Asaba, the state capital.
The screening exercise, which forms part of the ongoing nationwide recruitment of 50,000 police constables, is being conducted by the Police Service Commission in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force.
According to a statement issued by the Director-General of the Delta State Bureau for Orientation and Communications, Dr. Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, the exercise is specifically for candidates who printed their application forms but were not given screening centres, those who missed their earlier appointments, and applicants who received invitation letters without assigned screening venues.
The exercise will take place at the Delta State Police Command headquarters along Okpanam Road in Asaba, where eligible candidates are expected to present themselves with all relevant documents and credentials for verification.
Authorities advised applicants to come with required documents, including their application forms and identification credentials as part of the verification process. The exercise provides another opportunity for qualified applicants to complete the recruitment process and move closer to joining the Nigeria Police Force.
Officials also noted that candidates who have already completed their screening should disregard the notice while reiterating that the recruitment exercise is free of charge and that applicants should avoid fraudsters demanding payment.
The ongoing recruitment exercise is part of efforts by the federal government to boost manpower in the police and strengthen security across the country.
