GROUP HAILS TINUBU AS NIGERIA’S HOPE

The National Chairman of the Tinubu National Solidarity Movement, Mohammed Akwashiki, has praised President Bola Tinubu, describing him as the only president capable of fixing Nigeria’s problems. Akwashiki made this assertion during a press briefing in Abuja, highlighting Tinubu’s courageous reforms and policies. According to Akwashiki, Tinubu’s decision to remove fuel subsidies, a move that even some military governments found difficult to implement, showcases his leadership capabilities. “We found out that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu carries something capable enough to fix Nigeria. He has the courage. We saw the first decision he took to remove the fuel subsidy. That decision was a decision that even some military government found it very difficult to take and the man took it,” Akwashiki said. The group leader urged Nigerians to reflect on past sufferings and appreciate the policies of the Tinubu-led administration, which he believes have revamped the economy and stabilized the country. Akwashiki passed a vote of confidence on Tinubu for his re-election bid in 2027, stating that the president will do better in the remaining two years of his tenure. “We have a president that has the courage to take decisions, let’s use him to fix Nigeria… The country became a failed, almost a failed state. So we needed a leader that has the courage and determination and willingness to fix the country. We needed a leader that can reposition Nigeria and bring back the glory of this. And we saw it in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” Akwashiki added. As Commissioner of Finance in Ondo State from 1979 to 1983, Fasoranti’s sound fiscal management contributed to significant achievements in free education, healthcare, rural development, and employment programs. Tinubu also praised Fasoranti’s resilience during Nigeria’s darkest political times, stating, “In Nigeria’s darkest hours of military dictatorship and tyranny unleashed by Late General Sani Abacha, Baba Fasoranti and his comrades at Afenifere and NADECO stood firm and unbowed. PRESIDENT TINUBU RESUMES FEDERAL EXECUTIVE COUNCIL MEETINGS AFTER TWO-MONTH HIATUS

Tinubu also assured that victims of terrorism will receive support to pick up their lives and promised to consider upgrading the airport in Katsina State to create jobs and expand the economy. “Investment is cowardly, and it will not go where there is banditry and terrorism. Onanuga said Governor Dikko Radda informed the President that the proposed airport expansion would create 2,700 direct jobs and cost N54 billion. PRESIDENT TINUBU TO VISIT KATSINA STATE FOR SECURITY ASSESSMENT AND PROJECT COMMISSIONING

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will embark on a two-day official visit to Katsina State on Friday. Onanuga said President Tinubu will commission the Katsina Agricultural Mechanized Centre and a 24KM dual carriageway completed by Governor Dikko Umar Radda. The President will also attend the wedding of the governor’s daughter before returning to Abuja. The visit is expected to strengthen the federal government’s commitment to addressing security challenges in the state and promoting economic development through infrastructure projects.

Onanuga said President Tinubu noted that Dangote’s Dangote Group has created many employment opportunities through innovation and continuous investment, becoming one of Africa’s leading conglomerates. “The Dangote Group became one of Africa’s leading conglomerates through innovation and continuous investment,” Onanuga quoted President Tinubu as saying. The President urged Dangote to bring his transformative ideas and initiatives to bear on the World Bank appointment to impact emerging markets across the world fully. Onanuga said the World Bank’s Private Sector Investment Lab aims to promote investment and job creation in emerging economies. Onanuga added that Dangote’s appointment is part of a broader expansion of the lab, which now includes business leaders with proven track records in generating employment in developing economies. The lab’s expanded membership includes the CEO of Bayer AG, Bill Anderson, the Chair of Bharti Enterprises, Sunil Bharti Mittal, and the President and CEO of Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Mark Hoplamazian.
