Tinubu Appoints Dr. Adedayo Benjamins Laniyi as DG/CEO of Women Development Centre, Names Governing Council
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Adedayo Benjamins Laniyi as the Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of the Maryam Babangida National Centre for Women Development for an initial four-year term.
The appointment, which takes effect from April 18, 2026, was conveyed in a letter signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, and issued through the Office of the Permanent Secretary, General Services Office, Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar Kana.
The appointment is in line with Section 7(1) and (3) of the National Centre for Women Development (Amendment) Act, 2023.
Governing Council Constituted
President Tinubu also approved the constitution of the Governing Council of the Centre, which will be chaired by Princess Joan Jummai Idonije.
