President Bola Tinubu on Thursday received a comprehensive security briefing from the nation’s top security chiefs during a closed-door meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, as efforts continue to address insecurity across the country.

The meeting, which lasted several hours, brought together key figures in Nigeria’s security architecture, including the Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar; the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa; the Chief of Army Staff; the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS); and heads of other security and intelligence agencies.

During the session, the security chiefs updated the President on ongoing military and security operations in various parts of the country, outlining measures being implemented to combat terrorism, banditry, kidnapping and other criminal activities.
