President Bola Tinubu has directed the Renewed Hope Ambassadors to distribute rice across Nigeria in support of citizens observing Ramadan and Lenten fasts.

The distribution will leverage the group’s extensive grassroots network across states, local governments, and wards, ensuring broad reach and transparency, according to a statement from the Director-General of Renewed Hope Ambassadors and Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma.

The initiative is designed to promote national unity and demonstrate compassion during a period of spiritual significance for both Muslims and Christians.

“Ramadan and Lent remind us of sacrifice, charity, and care for one another,” the statement said. “Through this distribution, families nationwide will feel the spirit of togetherness during this sacred period.”

This follows a similar initiative last Christmas, when rice was distributed to assist Nigerians during the festive season, reflecting the administration’s commitment to supporting citizens during key religious and cultural moments.

The program will cover both Christian and Muslim communities, highlighting President Tinubu’s emphasis on inclusivity and unity.
