SENATOR AGADAGA DEFECTS TO APC, HAILED AS PATRIOT AND VISIONARY LEADER
The Progressive Next Generation Initiative has joined senators in celebrating the defection of Chief Senator Benson Agadaga, the Senator representing Bayelsa East Senatorial District, to the All Progressives Congress. The group issued a statement on Thursday, October 30, 2025, describing the senator as a patriot, visionary leader, and dependable partner.

In the statement signed by the Director of Media, Press and Publicity, Hon. Mathias Zadok, and issued by the Convener, Hon. Jeffery Omoh Ozemegwa, PNGI commended Senator Agadaga’s remarkable contributions to youth development, women empowerment, good governance, and national progress. The group noted that his track record reflects a consistent passion for community service and capacity building.
The statement highlighted the senator’s various initiatives, saying “Senator Agadaga’s various empowerment initiatives, skill acquisition programs, medical outreaches, and developmental projects through his NGO have continued to positively impact the lives of Bayelsa youths and women.”
The PNGI Convener, Hon. Jeffery Omoh Ozemegwa, expressed confidence that Senator Agadaga’s entry into the APC would further strengthen the party’s presence in Bayelsa State and deepen the spirit of inclusive leadership. Ozemegwa stated, “The Next Generation welcomes you to the All Progressives Congress. We celebrate this long-awaited movement as a great step toward a brighter future for the people of Bayelsa.”
He further reaffirmed PNGI’s mission as a data-driven, research-based, and advocacy-oriented platform within the APC, committed to advancing transparency, accountability, and informed political participation in support of the Renewed Hope Agenda of the present administration.
