Aspirant for the Sabon Gari Federal Constituency seat in Kaduna State, Mahmud Sadis Buba, has successfully scaled the screening process conducted in Abuja ahead of the forthcoming legislative contest.

Buba, who recently submitted his expression of interest and nomination forms to Senate President Godswill Akpabio on Thursday, May 7, 2026, is seeking to represent the people of Sabon Gari Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

The Kaduna-born politician was screened alongside other aspirants as part of the party’s internal processes leading to the election.

Known for his diminutive stature and grassroots engagement, Buba has continued to attract attention within political circles and among supporters, with many describing his aspiration as a symbol of inclusion and representation.

If elected, he could become one of the smallest lawmakers in Nigeria’s 11th National Assembly.

Supporters at the screening venue described the exercise as peaceful and transparent, expressing optimism about his chances in the race.

The development has continued to generate conversations on social media, with many observers commending his determination and political ambition.
