The Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially commenced its 2027 governorship campaign in Isoko Nation, with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori urging party members to intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the general elections.

The campaign rallies, held in Oleh and Ozoro in Isoko South and Isoko North Local Government Areas respectively, attracted party leaders, political stakeholders and supporters from across the two local government areas.

Speaking at the rally held at Oleh Township Stadium, Oborevwori expressed appreciation for the large turnout, calling on party faithful to consolidate support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration and work towards electoral victory in 2027.

The governor attributed some of the achievements of his administration to the economic reforms introduced by the Tinubu-led Federal Government, while pledging to build on his government’s accomplishments through the MORE Plus initiative if re-elected for a second term.

Deputy Governor Monday Onyeme and former Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa also urged party members to sustain mobilisation at the grassroots, stressing the need to take the APC’s message to communities across the state.

Director-General of the Delta APC Campaign Council, Senator James Manager, reaffirmed the party’s commitment to conducting issue-based campaigns as it prepares for the 2027 elections.

Okowa, who is also the APC’s candidate for the Delta North Senatorial District, called on members to strengthen their grassroots structures and intensify engagement with voters to secure victory at the polls.

The APC State Chairman, Chief Solomon Arenyeka, also presented party flags to candidates contesting elective positions in Isoko South and Isoko North, formally signalling the party’s campaign activities in the area.
