APC Aspirant Withdraws from Sabon Gari Reps Race, Backs Party Reconciliation
An aspirant for the Sabon Gari Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, Mahmud Sadis Buba, has officially withdrawn from the race, citing ongoing reconciliation efforts within the All Progressives Congress in Kaduna State.
In a statement announcing his decision, Buba said the withdrawal followed extensive consultations with his family, political associates and party stakeholders, adding that the move was necessary to strengthen unity within the party ahead of the general election.
According to him, rallying behind a single candidate had become essential for the victory of the APC and the continued development of the constituency and the state.
“This was not an easy decision. But it was hastened by the reconciliation efforts initiated by stakeholders and leaders of our party,” he stated.
Buba expressed appreciation to Uba Sani and the Kaduna State leadership of the APC for giving him the opportunity to participate in the party’s nomination process.
He described the experience as enriching and thanked his supporters and constituents for standing by him throughout the political journey.
The former aspirant reaffirmed his loyalty to the APC, insisting that his withdrawal should not be seen as a sign of weakness but rather a sacrifice made in the interest of party unity.
He pledged to work for the success of the party’s consensus candidate and urged his supporters to remain calm, united and fully aligned with the party’s decision ahead of the polls.
