Ochacho Real Estate, TI’Bilon Construction Offices Shut by FCCPC in Abuja Raid
The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) has sealed the offices of Ochacho Real Estate and TI’Bilon Construction Company in Abuja as part of its ongoing enforcement operations targeting alleged regulatory breaches in the real estate sector.
According to regulatory sources, the action was carried out following complaints and preliminary investigations into the business practices of the affected firms, including issues bordering on consumer protection, service delivery, and compliance with established operational guidelines.
Officials of the Commission reportedly arrived at the companies’ offices early in the day and restricted access to staff and visitors while enforcement measures were implemented. Notices of seal were also placed on the premises, indicating that operations had been suspended pending further investigation.
The FCCPC stated that the move is part of its broader mandate to protect consumers from unfair business practices and ensure that companies operating in Nigeria adhere strictly to regulatory standards. It added that the exercise is not punitive but aimed at ensuring accountability and restoring confidence in the sector.
Management of the affected companies is expected to respond to the allegations and engage with the Commission as investigations continue. However, as of press time, neither Ochacho Real Estate nor TI’Bilon Construction had issued an official statement regarding the sealing of their offices.
The Commission has urged members of the public to continue reporting cases of suspected exploitative or unethical business practices, assuring that all complaints will be thoroughly investigated.
