Zamfara Police Mourn Three Officers Killed in Line of Duty
The Zamfara State Police Command has announced the death of three of its officers who lost their lives while carrying out their duties in service to the nation.

In a statement issued on Monday by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Yazid Abubakar, the Command identified the fallen officers as Officer Commanding (OC) Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), SP Abdulrazak Musa Hassan, Inspector Auwal Ahmad and Inspector Murtala Musa.
The Command described the deaths as a painful loss, noting that the officers paid the ultimate price while serving and protecting the country.
According to the statement, the deceased officers demonstrated exceptional courage, dedication and professionalism in the discharge of their responsibilities, remaining steadfast in the face of danger.
“Their bravery, dedication and unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and maintaining peace will never be forgotten. Their sacrifice is a testament to their patriotism and devotion to duty,” the statement read.
The Command extended its condolences to the families, friends and colleagues of the deceased officers, acknowledging the deep pain caused by their loss.
It noted that beyond their official responsibilities, the officers were mentors, brothers and defenders of their communities whose contributions would be remembered for years to come.
The police further stated that the sacrifices of the fallen officers underscore the risks security personnel face daily in the course of protecting lives and property across the country.
While mourning their passing, the Command assured that their service and dedication would continue to inspire serving and future officers.
“Their courage will continue to inspire future generations, and their sacrifice will not be in vain. Zamfara State Police Command will forever remember their service and dedication to the nation,” the statement added.
The Command prayed for the repose of their souls and asked God to grant strength and comfort to their families and all those affected by the tragic loss.
