JAMB Releases 2026 UTME Original Result Slip, Urges Candidates to Print for Admission Processing
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that candidates who sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) can now access and print their Original Result Slips.
The examination body disclosed on Wednesday that the result slips would become available for printing within hours, describing the document as a critical requirement for admission processing by tertiary institutions across the country.
In a statement signed by its Public Communication Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, JAMB said the Original Result Slip contains important security features, including the candidate’s photograph and national ranking.
“The 2026 UTME Original Result Slip will be available for printing within the next two hours today, Wednesday, June 17, 2026,” the statement said.
According to the Board, the document serves as one of the official records required for post-UTME screening exercises and admission consideration by universities, polytechnics, colleges of education and other tertiary institutions.
JAMB explained that candidates can conveniently print the slip from any internet-enabled device without necessarily visiting JAMB offices.
“Candidates can conveniently print their Original Result Slip from any internet-enabled device, whether at home, in the office, or at accredited business centres,” the Board stated.
The examination body advised candidates to carefully review all information contained in the document immediately after printing to ensure accuracy.
It further urged candidates to keep copies of the slip safe, noting that it may be required at different stages of the admission process.
The release of the Original Result Slip marks another important step in the 2026 admission cycle, as institutions across the country prepare to commence post-UTME screening and admission exercises.
Candidates are therefore encouraged to obtain their result slips promptly and monitor announcements from their institutions of choice regarding admission requirements and screening schedules.
