Police Arrest Alleged Fake PFIPC DG After Private Jet Trip from Ibadan to Abuja
Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, the self-styled Director-General of the non-existent Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), has been arrested by the Nigeria Police after he was reportedly flown in a private jet from Ibadan to Abuja.
His arrest followed a bench warrant issued by the Federal High Court in Abuja after he repeatedly failed to appear for arraignment on charges bordering on forgery, impersonation and operating a fictitious federal agency.
Adeyemi, who had allegedly gone into hiding after the Presidency publicly disowned the PFIPC, was apprehended shortly after his arrival in the Federal Capital Territory.
He is facing an eight-count charge filed by the Nigeria Police, accusing him and two others of forging official presidential documents, falsely presenting himself as the head of a federal agency and allegedly defrauding members of the public through the purported organisation.
The Presidency has consistently maintained that the PFIPC is a fictitious organisation and that Adeyemi’s alleged appointment as its Director-General was never approved by President Bola Tinubu or the Office of the Chief of Staff. It had also warned government institutions, diplomatic missions and the general public against dealing with the group.
The case has attracted nationwide attention following revelations that the alleged fake agency reportedly operated from office space within the Federal Secretariat and was captured in the 2026 federal budget, raising questions about possible institutional lapses and official complicity.
Adeyemi is expected to be produced before the Federal High Court in Abuja to answer the charges against him as police continue investigations into the activities of the alleged fake agency.
