CDCC Welcomes Arena of Power Into Global Fellowship, Appoints New Provincial Coordinator for Edo State

In a landmark development for the white garment church movement in Nigeria, the Celestrial Deliverance Church of Christ CDCC Worldwide has officially announced the integration of a major Benin City-based congregation into its global network, alongside the appointment of a new provincial leader for Edo State.

The official announcement, released by the church’s Media and Legal Department under the instruction of the Founder and General Overseer, Rev. Prophet Dr. Hungbenu Michael Olusegun, confirms that the Celestial Church of Christ CCC – Arena of Power is now a bona fide member of the CDCC Worldwide. Consequently, the church has been renamed CDCC Arena of Power and will now serve as the CDCC Edo Benin Province Headquarters.

In a corresponding development, the former head of the congregation, Senior Evangelist Kehinde James Edafe, has been elevated to the position of Senior Special Apostle Prophet Dr. Kehinde James Edafe and appointed as the CDCC Edo Benin Province Headquarters Coordinator. This appointment grants him full authority to represent the CDCC Worldwide in the region.

The announcement emphasizes the core mission of the CDCC, which is described as a church established by God Almighty to set people free from all forms of religious bondage. Rev. Prophet Dr. Hungbenu Michael Olusegun, through the statement, articulated a vision of unity and inclusivity that transcends denominational divides. “Our mission is to preach unity among all Christians and to preach unity among all nations and all tribes,” the statement read. “We are to respect every culture and to set the captives free and bring total freedom.”

The church leadership was keen to clarify its position within the broader Christian landscape, stating that CDCC is not against any Christian denomination but believes itself to be part of every Bible-believing church. To celebrate this new chapter and introduce the CDCC’s ministry to a wider audience, the church is organizing a major event. The public is invited to a One Day Prophetic Fire Night with the theme “Recovery It All.” The event is scheduled for Friday, 31st July 2026, at the CDCC Arena of Power, located opposite Iduarise Market on Old Road, close to the MTN Mast in Eyean, Benin City. The service is being organized in conjunction with the CDCC Evangelism Committee Worldwide and El Berachah El Elyon Crusades. The event is billed as a night of divine encounter, prophetic ministration, healing, deliverance, and the recovery of all that has been lost.
