Israel Says School Trip Blast Caused by Leftover Hezbollah Cluster Bomb
An initial Israeli military investigation found that a deadly explosion near the Lebanese border on Monday was most likely caused by a Hezbollah cluster bomb left over from past fighting.

The blast occurred on the Ramim Ridge in the Naftali Mountains of northeastern Israel, killing a 15-year-old student and wounding at least 24 people during a school hiking trip.
Israel’s Channel 12 News reported that one of the students is believed to have picked up the bomb and placed it in his bag. After the explosion, Israeli Education Minister Yoav Kisch ordered a two-day suspension of school trips in the area to assess student safety.
