Ecuador Intensifies Anti-Crime Campaign as President Commits to Hunting Down Criminals
The President of Ecuador has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to fighting organized crime, praising ongoing United States-supported security efforts and vowing to intensify the pursuit of criminal networks across the country.

President Daniel Noboa said the partnership with international allies, particularly the United States, has strengthened Ecuador’s capacity to confront escalating violence driven by drug trafficking and organized criminal groups.
He emphasized that the government will continue targeting armed gangs and criminal syndicates operating within urban centers and coastal regions, stressing that there will be “no retreat” in the fight to restore public safety.

Authorities have recently expanded military and police operations in several high-risk provinces, as part of a broader strategy aimed at dismantling criminal networks linked to drug exports and extortion activities.
The government has also increased coordination with foreign partners on intelligence sharing, border security, and training programs designed to strengthen local law enforcement capabilities.

Officials say the intensified crackdown is part of a wider national security strategy focused on stabilizing communities affected by rising violence and reinforcing state control in areas previously dominated by gangs.
President Noboa reiterated that Ecuador will continue to rely on international cooperation while strengthening its internal security institutions to ensure long-term stability and public safety.
