First Lady Oluremi Tinubu Urges Nigerians to Embrace Peace, Unity at Eid-el-Maulud
First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has urged Muslim faithful and Nigerians at large to embrace peace, compassion, forgiveness and peaceful coexistence as Muslims commemorate Eid-el-Maulud 2026.
In a message marking the celebration on Tuesday, August 25, Mrs Tinubu congratulated Muslim faithful across the country and called on them to reflect on the exemplary life and virtues of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W).
She said the annual commemoration provides an opportunity for Muslims to draw inspiration from the Prophet’s teachings, particularly his emphasis on compassion, forgiveness and peaceful coexistence.
The First Lady encouraged Muslim faithful to put these values into practice by promoting peace and understanding in their families, communities and across the country.
According to her, embracing these virtues would help strengthen the bonds of unity among Nigerians at a time when the nation continues to seek greater peace and progress.
She also prayed that the Eid-el-Maulud celebration would bring renewed hope, peace and blessings to Nigerians.
“Happy Eid-El-Maulud 2026,” the First Lady said in her message.
