Iran Opens Second Military Training Camp In Tehran As Tensions With US Escalate
Iran has inaugurated a new military training facility in Tehran, marking the second such centre established in the capital as part of a broader civil defence mobilisation effort.
The training camp was opened on Saturday at Haft-e Tir Square, following an earlier facility at Imam Hussein Square, according to reports.
The centre is designed to prepare citizens to confront potential US and Israeli threats, with training activities scheduled to begin over the coming weeks.

The facility, named the Janfada or “Sacrifice for Iran” training centre, features drills involving camouflage-painted anti-aircraft equipment, obstacle courses, and virtual reality headsets for weapons training.
A prior camp at Imam Hussein Square has already begun training volunteers, including women, as part of the mobilisation drive.
At a news conference held at the site, Ali Kowsari, deputy for training at the Basij organisation, underscored the significance of nationwide civil defence preparedness. He revealed that 1,000 battalions had been prepared for training.
Kowsari stated that Iranians would stand united against any new attack if the enemy made “another miscalculation”.
He emphasised the importance of civil defence across society, saying that should adversaries misjudge the situation again, the Iranian people would resist together.
The inauguration of the urban training site comes amid heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran, with the US having threatened to “blow up” and “annihilate” Iran.
A seven-month conflict triggered by US-Israeli attacks on February 28 was halted by a truce on April 8, though sporadic hostilities have continued since.
