PSC Releases Names of 50,000 Successful Police Constable Recruits
The Police Service Commission (PSC) has released the names of successful candidates recruited into the Nigeria Police Force as Police Constables, following the completion of the nationwide recruitment exercise for 50,000 personnel.
In a statement issued on Wednesday by the Commission’s Head of Protocol and Public Relations, Torty Njoku Kalu, the PSC said candidates who participated in the recently concluded written examination can check their recruitment status on the official recruitment portal beginning 12:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2026.
According to the Commission, successful applicants are to log into npfapplication.psc.gov.ng to confirm their status. They will also receive notifications via the email addresses and telephone numbers provided during the application process.
The PSC said the recruitment exercise was conducted in collaboration with key stakeholders, including the Nigeria Police Force, Federal Character Commission, Ministry of Police Affairs, state Career and Counselling Departments, and the Police Community Relations Committee, describing the process as comprehensive, transparent, equitable and inclusive.
The Commission stated that successful candidates would be directed to report to their designated Police Training Institutions on dates to be announced for medical examinations and documentation.
It warned that candidates who fail to report within the stipulated period would be deemed to have declined the offer, while those who fail the mandatory medical screening conducted by the Police Medical Team upon resumption would be disqualified from the training programme.
Candidates have also been directed to report with their training call-up slip, National Identification Number (NIN) slip, Bank Verification Number (BVN) slip, original and photocopies of their academic credentials, as well as other documents and items that will be specified on the recruitment portal.
Chairman of the Police Service Commission, DIG Hashimu Salihu Argungu (retd.), thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving the recruitment of 50,000 police constables as part of efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s security architecture.
Argungu urged the successful recruits to regard their appointment as a call to national service and to discharge their duties with professionalism, integrity and commitment to protecting lives and property across the country.
