Global pop superstar Taylor Swift and NFL star Travis Kelce have officially tied the knot in one of the most anticipated celebrity weddings in recent memory, exchanging vows before family, close friends, and an array of famous guests at New York City’s iconic Madison Square Garden.

The couple were married on Friday, July 3, in a lavish ceremony that transformed the world-famous arena into an elegant wedding venue. The marriage was confirmed by Swift’s representatives, while giant displays outside the venue lit up with the message “JUST&T MARRIED,” sending thousands of fans gathered outside into celebration.

Actor and comedian Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony. Rather than opting for a large bridal party, the couple kept things personal: Swift’s brother, Austin Swift, served as her “man of honor,” while Kelce’s brother, Jason Kelce, stood beside the groom as best man.

Fashion was a major talking point throughout the evening. Swift wore a custom Christian Dior Haute Couture wedding gown designed by Jonathan Anderson, complemented by Cartier jewellery and custom Christian Louboutin shoes. Kelce also wore a bespoke Dior suit, making the couple one of the most stylish pairs to grace a celebrity wedding this year. While official wedding photographs have yet to be released, the attire has already generated widespread discussion among fans and fashion critics.

Nearly 1,000 guests attended the black-tie celebration, which featured an impressive list of celebrities from the worlds of music, film, television and sport. Among those spotted arriving were Ed Sheeran, Gigi Hadid, Hugh Grant, Bradley Cooper, Ethan Hawke, Lena Dunham, producer Jack Antonoff and several NFL stars. Legendary singer Stevie Nicks was also expected to perform during the celebration.

Security around Madison Square Garden was extensive. Streets surrounding the arena were temporarily closed, guests were reportedly prohibited from bringing phones into the venue, and hundreds of fans gathered behind security barriers hoping to witness a glimpse of the festivities. The celebration coincided with Independence Day weekend in the United States, adding to the already vibrant atmosphere in Manhattan.

In a symbolic tribute to the newlyweds, the Empire State Building was illuminated in sparkling blue, serving as the couple’s “something blue” and adding another memorable moment to a wedding already being described by many as one of the biggest celebrity events of the decade.

Swift and Kelce’s relationship first became public in 2023 after the Kansas City Chiefs tight end revealed on his podcast that he had hoped to meet the singer following one of her concerts. Their romance quickly captured international attention as Swift began attending Chiefs games while Kelce appeared at numerous Eras Tour concerts. The couple announced their engagement in 2025 and have since remained one of the world’s most closely followed celebrity pairs.

With their wedding now official, the newly married couple begin a new chapter together after a romance that captivated millions of fans around the world.
