Tinubu Embarks on Akwa Ibom, Rivers Visits, to Inaugurate Projects, Attend APC Rally
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will on Friday embark on a two-state visit to Akwa Ibom and Rivers States, with plans to commission major infrastructure projects and participate in an All Progressives Congress (APC) rally.
According to the Presidency, Tinubu will depart Abuja on November 6 for Uyo, where he will inaugurate several projects executed by the administration of Governor Umo Eno and attend a political rally.
To facilitate the President’s visit and reception, Governor Eno has declared Friday a work-free day across Akwa Ibom State.
The projects lined up for inauguration include the new International Terminal Building, International Airport Hospital and Ibom Aviation Village, all situated at the Victor Attah International Airport.
Other projects scheduled for commissioning are the Airport-Okopedi Road, which traverses Nsit Atai and Okobo Local Government Areas, and Ring Road 3, connecting Idoro Road to Ikot Ekpene Road through Uyo and Ibiono Ibom.
Tinubu will also commission the AKWA-GIS Office Complex, Command and Control Centre and ARISE Palm Resort.
Following his engagements in Akwa Ibom, the President will travel to Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Saturday to attend an APC political rally.
The Port Harcourt event will be his third rally since the ruling party commenced its re-election campaign in Kaduna last month.
The Presidency said the two-state visit would also provide an opportunity for Tinubu to interact with political stakeholders, party members and supporters, while underscoring the importance of national unity, political stability and collective commitment to national development.
