TINUBU’S RENEWED HOPE AGENDA MAKES CANCER TREATMENT ACCESSIBLE IN NIGERIA – MINISTER
Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, has praised President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda for revolutionizing the health sector and making cancer treatment accessible in Nigeria. Idris made this statement during a courtesy visit to Enugu State Governor, Mr. Peter Mbah.

According to Idris, the Renewed Hope Agenda has led to the establishment of six treatment facilities across the country’s six zones, including Enugu, equipped with advanced medical technology and trained experts. “There are six treatment facilities in the six zones of the country, including Enugu, with similar machines found in other parts of the world, and experts have been trained to handle them,” Idris said.

He emphasized that anyone seeking cancer treatment abroad is doing so by choice, as adequate facilities and professionals are now available domestically. “So, anyone who wants to go out of the country to treat cancer is doing so based on choice, and not that we don’t have facilities and experts to treat the person,” Idris added.

The Minister commended President Tinubu for his efforts in improving the nation’s health sector, saying, “We must give credit to President Tinubu for the people he put in place to revamp the health sector.” He also praised Governor Mbah for his contributions to the development of Enugu State, describing Enugu as the heart of the South-East.
Idris further noted improvements in the nation’s security situation, attributing progress to the synergy among security agencies facilitated by Tinubu’s administration. “Tinubu has made it possible for security agencies to synergize and achieve results, hence the improved security situation that the country is currently witnessing,” he said. However, he acknowledged that challenges still remain and that the government is committed to addressing them.
Idris expressed admiration for President Tinubu’s achievements, saying, “Tinubu has done so well that one will wonder if he is in his second term.” The Minister’s praise for the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda underscores the administration’s commitment to improving the nation’s health sector and security.
