OMO AGEGE PLANS SHOCKING RETURN TO PDP

Former Deputy President of the Senate, Ovie Omo Agege, is reportedly planning a shocking return to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after losing relevance in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State. According to credible sources, Omo-Agege is exploring the possibility of a political realignment amid rising tensions within the APC and ongoing internal power tussles in Delta State.

The development comes after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu handed the leadership of APC in Delta State to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, following his emergence as governor. Omo Agege, who was previously the leader of APC in the state, has taken a back seat and is reportedly losing relevance in the political equation.

“This is not a rumour,” a highly placed PDP source said, confirming that Omo-Agege is actively considering a return to the PDP to find a political home. The move is expected to reshape Delta State’s political landscape ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Omo Agege’s potential defection would be a significant blow to the APC in the South-South region, where he has been a key figure. The PDP is likely to welcome him back with open arms, and his return could potentially boost the party’s chances in the 2027 elections.
