Accord Party Takes House-To-House Campaign To Alekuwodo, Residents Pledge Support For Governor Adeleke

The Accord Party on Sunday launched an intensive house-to-house campaign in the Alekuwodo area of Osogbo, Osun State, as part of its final push ahead of the August 15 governorship election. The exercise, which began at about 2:00 pm, covered major streets including Adefarati, Akinlade, Adewuyi, Mueje, Igbalaye, Okefia Road, Peter Ajibola, Odofin, and Adewale Street before concluding back at Adefarati Street.

The campaign was coordinated by Mr. Afolabi Kolawole, who personally led the team from street to street, engaging directly with residents. At every stop, the team was met with enthusiastic receptions as community members poured out to welcome them and voice their support for the party’s governorship candidate.

Residents across the wards told the campaign team that they had already made up their minds to vote for Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke in the August 15 election. Many cited the governor’s developmental projects in the Alekuwodo community as the primary reason for their decision, saying the visible improvements had convinced them to back his re-election bid.

“The governor has done well for us. We have seen the projects in our community, and we are grateful. That is why we will vote for him again,” one resident was quoted as saying during the door-to-door engagement. Another added, “We are not confused about who to vote for. Governor Adeleke has our full support, and by God’s grace, he will win.”

The exercise ended on a spiritual note, with the campaign team and residents joining together in prayers. They asked Almighty God, the Creator of heaven and earth, to grant success to their aspirations and ensure victory for Governor Adeleke in the upcoming poll. Mr. Kolawole expressed confidence in the outcome, describing the residents’ response as overwhelming and a clear sign of what to expect on election day.
