That means the next stage of the operation will depend largely on Barcelona’s valuation and PSG’s willingness to meet it.

The situation is particularly significant because Barcelona had previously indicated that Torres remained part of their plans.

Earlier this week, reports suggested that Barça were not initially keen to sell the forward and that coach Hansi Flick wanted him to remain at the club.
